PRAISE THE MUTILATED WORLD. Selections from my 2021 solo exhibition at United Contemporary. The title of this body of work is taken from a poem written by the prize winning Polish poet and dissident Adam Zagajewski entitled Try to Praise the Mutilated World. It was written as a salve for those searching for hope after devastating loss. These works, that take their form as diptychs, were made during contemplative, solitary walks in 2020 and 2021.
